Incorporated in 1985,
Consolidated Technologies Limited is a privately held Canadian corporation.
The intellectual property underlying the line of marine interfaces
developed by Consolidated Technologies Ltd. was sold to Rutter Technologies
in 2006. Consolidated
Technologies produce marine interfaces under license.
Consolidated
Technologies, along with Sigma Engineering, were founding shareholders of
Rutter Technologies. Initially,
Consolidated Technologies supplied marine navigation interfacing products to Rutter
Technologies Inc for use in its Voyage Data Recorder(VDR-100), and radar
interfacing boards to Sigma
Engineering Limited for use in its SmartRadar products.
Sigma is now a part of Rutter. Consolidated
is no longer a shareholder of Rutter.
Consolidated specializes in
the production of microprocessor-based marine interfaces. The products
facilitate the connection of legacy devices onboard ships to modern computer
systems used for navigation, data collection and control purposes. The
company's interfaces convert a wide range of shipboard signals into the
NMEA-0183 (IEC61162) format, including synchro angle signals, stepper drive
signals, AC and DC voltages, and contact closure status.
Key products include the
NavGyro 2B, a marine gyrocompass interface; the NavSynchro, a general-purpose
synchro-to-digital interface; the NavMux, NavMux 6L and Minimux, NMEA-0183
data multiplexors; and the MiniEx, a NMEA signal splitter. Other products
include data signal optical isolators and various multipurpose data conversion
boxes.
Consolidated Technologies Ltd
(ConTech) warrant interface products against defects in material and workmanship
for one year from date of purchase. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the interface.
Consolidated is not responsible for shipping charges associated with
warranty repair of interfaces.
